  • Sat, Sept 22, 10am & Sep 23 12pm, Library of Congress National Book Festival, National Mall. A family event, free and open to the public. Click here for more info.
  • Wed, Sep 26, 10am-11:30am, Sharp Farm Open House & Educational Program. Homeschoolers and Individuals welcome. In addition to learning about farm life, kids also get to feed the animals, go on a hayride, take home a pumpkin, a boll of cotton and an ear of corn. $7/child, adults are free. Registration Required at least 2 days prior to event.   • Patuxent Wildlife Visitor's Center. Teacher Workshops, Kid's Enrichment programs (free) and other fun things to do. On a nice day, a Nature Walk through the Reserve is nice. Visit their website link to see more.
  • Laurel Library Chess Club, meets twice a month on Saturdays at 1:30pm. Open to all ages, 2 and up! Call 301-776-6790 or see library web site for details.

    • Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic, every other Saturday at 10a-11a at a Lowe's location near you, FREE. Check their website for project details and to verify date and time for the Lowe's nearest you. Pre-registration is preferred but not required, walk-ins accepted.
    • Home Depot Kids' Workshop, 1st Saturday of each month from 9a-12p 
    • College Park Aviation Museum
